Good news for all those hanging on to see what the Samsung Galaxy S4 is bringing to the super-phone world, with Samsung confirming the Unpacked event will take place on March 14 at 7pm EST.
Unpacked is likely to be the event that gives Samsung its Galaxy S4 launch pad – so we’re almost certain that it will bring the official unveiling of the handset.
Samsung has timed the announcement to give it a little burst of publicity amid rival manufacturers showing off their new wares. Some of the hotly tipped features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 include a new screen (which will compete with the iPhone 5’s lauded retina offering), a more powerful processor and a health app.
Samsung recently sent out invites for the launch event of Galaxy S4 to thetech media, and now, it appears that there is something planned at Times Square for Galaxy S4 launch. The South Korean tech giant has posted an invite on Twitter with @TimesSquare, suggesting that there will be a live streaming of the event in Times Square on March 14.
Galaxy S4 is predicted to come with a non-gesture contact feature and hold on to the Home button which exists in present S3. According to media reports, a chip in the handset will convert the analog singal into digital using a touch sensor to integrate the effects. This way, users can operate the device without event touching the screen. Effectively, the power consumption will be reduced giving a cutting edge to Galaxy S4 while it is compared to the other smartphones.
